Subjective Results

Perceived Stress Scale (PSS)

(The PSS is a 10-item validated self-reported questionnaire that assesses the individual perceived stress levels in the past month.)

Stress is a significant component of quality of life. Sleep is the time to relax and recharge for tomorrow.

Results

The treatment group experienced a significant reduction in perceived stress.
The placebo group showed no meaningful change.

Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI)

(The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index is a self-rated questionnaire which assesses sleep quality and disturbances
over 1-month time interval.)

Quality sleep is a guarantee for a healthy life.

Results The treatment group showed a statistically significant improvement in sleep quality.
The placebo group showed a non-significant improvement.

Essence Questionnaire

(A questionnaire that checked areas of the body you would like to improve, and desire for mental and emotional improvement.)

Physical well-being is influenced by quality sleep, which allows the body, the mental and emotional to cleanse and restore organs.

Results
The treatment group demonstrated a substantial improvement in subjective well-being.
The placebo group showed no significant change.

Objective Results

Wake After Sleep Onset

(The amount of time in minutes that the person is awake during sleep time only)

Waking up during sleep disrupts the circadian cycle, creates mental stress, and interferes with important processes during sleep.

Results

The absence of deterioration in WASO within the treatment group further suggests that the device functioned as a buffer against sleep fragmentation, preventing the worsening of sleep quality compared to the placebo.

Rapid Eye Movement (REM)

(REM sleep is the stage of sleep marked by rapid eye movements, vivid dreams, and heightened brain activity essential for memory and emotional processing)

A dream sleep is important for coping with experiences and building mental resilience.

Results
While rates of REM decreased in the placebo group, REM rates did not change in the treatment group.

Total Sleep Time (TST)

Results
The treatment group performed significantly better than the placebo group, indicating that the TOMO effectively prevented the deterioration of TST.
